2020 Hajj Lottery Drawings Are Underway
The 2020 Hajj lottery drawings for registered candidates are ongoing. The process began this morning at 10:00 in the conference hall of the Presidency of Religious Affairs. To avoid confusion or misinformation about results, candidates should wait for the official list released by the Presidency. It has been announced that the results of the nationwide draw, awaited by millions of applicants, will also be made accessible through the e-Government (e-Devlet) system around 21:00 on the same day.
Candidates waiting for the 2020 results can confirm their status once the Presidency publishes the official list. Because the final confirmation will also be available on the e-Government portal at approximately 21:00, applicants can verify their selection there as well.
When Will Final Hajj Registrations Take Place?
Final registrations for successful 2020 Hajj lottery applicants will be held from January 13 to January 24, 2020. These registrations will be completed at local mufti offices (müftülükler) and authorized travel agencies. Applicants who are entitled to final registration but do not go on Hajj will enter the following year’s lottery with an assigned coefficient reflecting their prior eligibility. If an applicant consecutively wins final registration twice and does not use it, their coefficient is reset to zero. Additionally, if an individual wins final registration through the lottery but submits a medical board report to the Presidency of Religious Affairs, their right to perform Hajj may be deferred to the following year for health reasons.
