What Did the Presidency Announce?
The first holiday bonus was paid to retirees ahead of Eid al-Fitr (Ramazan Bayramı). After the decision to grant bonuses at holidays, millions of retirees received the initial bonus of one thousand lira before Ramazan Bayramı, in proportion to their monthly pensions. With Kurban Bayramı beginning on August 21, attention turned to the dates for pension and bonus payments. In his remarks about the 100-day action plan, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that bonuses and pension payments would again be deposited before the holiday.
When Were Pensions Paid for Ramazan Bayramı?
The first holiday bonus was paid before Ramazan Bayramı. For that holiday, payments began on June 15 and were made around June 7–8 for many retirees.
When Will Pensions Be Paid for Kurban Bayramı?
Kurban Bayramı starts on August 21, so August 20 is the holiday eve. August 18–19 fall on the weekend this year. Because of this timing, retirees whose payments would otherwise fall after the holiday will receive their pensions no later than August 17.
When Will Holiday Bonuses Be Paid for Kurban Bayramı?
Holiday bonus payments will also be completed by August 17. The exact date in August for the bonus distribution is expected to be announced during the week of the 6th to the 10th. Available information indicates that pensions and bonuses are likely to start being paid beginning August 13. The definitive schedule, however, will be announced by the Social Security Institution.
When Are Pensions Normally Paid?
Regular pension payment dates vary according to each retiree’s allocation number, date of birth, and the institution from which they retired. Below are the standard schedules for the different retirement systems.
When Are Bağ-Kur Pensions Paid?
Bağ-Kur retirees receive their pensions on the days determined by their allocation number. If the scheduled payment day falls on a Saturday, payment is made on Friday; if it falls on a Sunday, payment is made on Monday.
– Allocation numbers ending in 9, 7, and 5: paid on the 25th of each month.
– Allocation numbers ending in 3 and 1: paid on the 26th of each month.
– Allocation numbers ending in 8, 6, and 4: paid on the 27th of each month.
– Allocation numbers ending in 2 and 0: paid on the 28th of each month.
When Are Emekli Sandığı (Civil Servant Pension Fund) Pensions Paid?
Emekli Sandığı pensions, which are paid quarterly for some beneficiaries, follow a schedule that shifts weekend payments: groups whose payments fall on Saturday receive them on Friday; those whose payments fall on Sunday receive them on Monday.
