When will the 2020 DSİ Competency Certificate Exam be held? Candidates eagerly awaiting information about taking the exam have finally received an announcement. Details about the State Hydraulic Works (Devlet Su İşleri, DSİ) competency exams were published through the official Press Advertisement Agency portal ilan.gov.tr. Below you will find the conditions for applying to the 2020 DSİ Competency Certificate Exam, the application dates, and the fields in which competency certificates will be awarded.
According to the DSİ announcement, pursuant to Law No. 167 on Groundwaters, Article 20 of that law, Article 9 of the Groundwater Regulation, and Article 2 of the Technical Regulation on Groundwater, exams will be held in 2020 for personnel who will work on groundwater works for drinking, domestic use, irrigation and other purposes, including water-drilling wells, galleries and tunnels, caisson wells, drainage and qanats. The 2020 DSİ exams will take place in two provinces. Candidates who did not attend the first exam or who were unsuccessful in the first exam may attend the second exam in the designated province. The 2020 DSİ exams will include written and oral components. Candidates must be present at the exam center with identity documents 30 minutes before the scheduled exam time.

What Documents Are Required for the 2020 DSİ Competency Certificate Exam?
The required documents and conditions for the DSİ exams planned for 2020 are as follows.
- Turkish citizenship,
- At least primary school graduation (certified copy of diploma),
- A medical report dated in 2020 from an authorized hospital confirming eye, ear, nose and general physical fitness to work on groundwater projects,
- For those applying for a first-class certificate: a minimum of 7 years of documented relevant work experience,
- For those applying for a second-class certificate: a minimum of 4 years of documented relevant work experience; certified service letters or transfer (bonservis) documents from the related institution or company,
- Copy of national identity card,
- Four passport-size photographs,
A written petition addressed to the DSİ Department of Geotechnical Services and Groundwater Affairs stating the branch for which the candidate seeks to sit the exam and disclosing any criminal record.
