Good news from Minister Pakdemirli ahead of the holiday! According to the latest update, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli has announced supportive measures for our farmers. He stated that a total of 358,204,000 TRY in agricultural aid across 10 categories will be deposited into farmers’ accounts before the Sacrifice Feast.
In an official announcement, Minister Bekir Pakdemirli said that support payments totaling 358,204,000 TRY across 10 different items will be transferred to farmers’ accounts today, prior to the festival. The transfers will be effective as of 18:00 on Friday, July 24, 2020. The minister also provided details about the specific support payments and amounts being disbursed.
Support Payments and Amounts Announced by Minister Pakdemirli
The amounts and types of support to be paid to our farmers, as announced by Minister Pakdemirli, are summarized below.
- Raw Milk Support Payment: 329.4 million TRY for 254,300 producers covering 2.45 million tons of raw milk,
- Cereal and Pulse Support Payment: 16,515,000 TRY for 4,905 producers,
- Oilseed Crops Support Payment: 1,900,000 TRY for 148 producers,
- Grain Corn Support Payment: 506,000 TRY for 522 producers,
- Solid Organic – Organomineral Fertilizer Support Payment: 1,525,000 TRY for 2,391 producers,
- Soil Analysis Support Payment: 176,000 TRY,
- Diesel and Fertilizer Support Payment: 74,000 TRY for 102 producers,
- Rural Development Support Payment: 6,464,000 TRY for 69 projects,
- Expert Hands Project Support Payment: 880,000 TRY for 9 projects,
Under the Animal Genetic Resources Support, 764,000 TRY will be paid to 112 breeders. In total, 358,204,000 TRY in agricultural support payments will be distributed. We wish these payments to all our producers to be beneficial and auspicious.
