PTT Offers Retirees a Loan with Up to 60 Months Term. During the coronavirus pandemic, PTTBank has been active across Turkey, delivering social aid payments to over 10 million people, including approximately 3.7 million home deliveries. With its latest decision, PTTBank announced it will offer individual loans with terms up to 60 months to retired salary customers.
According to a statement from PTT A.Ş., social aid payments have been made in cooperation with the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, delivered by postal carriers, law enforcement and watchmen. Since March, when the coronavirus first began to appear widely across Turkey, payments were made at home to about 3.7 million people. In total, social aid payments have reached more than 10 million citizens. With nearly 4,000 PTT ATMs and roughly 19,600 public ATMs, recipients have been able to access their payments quickly and easily.

How to apply for the PTT retirement salary customer loan? Retirees who receive their pension through PTT can apply for the consumer loan with favorable rates as follows. Only retired salary customers are eligible to apply; the available loan options and application method are detailed below.
- PTTBank will provide individual loans for retired salary customers ranging from 1,250 TRY to 80,000 TRY, with terms up to 60 months and competitive interest rates.
- Retirees can apply in person at PTT branches by presenting their ID. Completing the loan application form at the branch is sufficient to submit an application.
- If a retiree’s loan application is approved, the loan amount can be disbursed on the same day.
Apply by SMS: Loan Option for PTT Retiree Salary Customers
In response to increased needs during the pandemic, PTTBank has launched an SMS-based loan application service for retirees who receive their pension through PTT. Retirees in need of cash can now submit loan requests via SMS under the PTT SMS Loan service.
- Retirees who require cash should type PTT followed by a space and their Turkish ID number, then send the SMS to 3050. If the application is approved, the loan amount will be credited to the customer’s PTTBank account for immediate use.
PTT plans to expand the SMS loan application service to include submissions via PTT ATMs, PTT Mobile and PTT Internet Banking in the near future.
