The lottery process for the “My First Home, My First Workplace” project is approaching its final stages. The draws that began in November will conclude with the Istanbul draw, which will determine beneficiaries for 50,000 residences. The transparent, notarized draws are broadcast live, and those whose names appear on the lists are naturally curious about what kind of home they will receive.
Interest is growing in TOKİ apartment layouts and sample interior images. Social Housing TOKİ Lottery Draws
According to the announcement by the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum, TOKİ lottery draws began on November 7, 2022. The draws, which were expected to conclude in March, are held province by province. However, following the earthquake disaster in the country, the draws were paused as of February 7. With the arrival of March, the draws resumed.
New Draw Calendar
Minister Kurum announced via his social media account that the draws would resume from where they left off. New dates were set for draws in Edirne, İzmir, Afyonkarahisar, Kırklareli and Tekirdağ. In his statement, the minister said the draws restarted in Ankara and would continue from the interrupted schedule, and that construction of disaster relief housing would also begin.
8–14 March 2023 TOKİ Draw Schedule
- 8–9 March: Afyonkarahisar – 3,169 units
- 11 March: Edirne – 1,363 units
- 12 March: Kırklareli – 1,189 units
- 13–14 March: Tekirdağ – 3,098 units
- 8–14 March: İzmir – 12,400 units

How to Check 2023 TOKİ Lottery Results
The list of names determined during the live TOKİ draw can be checked and verified through the e-Government (e-Devlet) portal after the broadcast.
The “My First Home” Draw Concludes in Istanbul
The lottery to select 250,000 social housing beneficiaries under the “My First Home, My First Workplace” program has reached Istanbul. The date for the Istanbul draws was announced. Minister Murat Kurum shared the TOKİ Istanbul draw schedule via his official social media account.
The minister said, “It’s ISTANBUL time for My First Home! We will begin the draws for our 50,000 social housing units on 16 March.”
Istanbul District Draw Dates
Within the project, a total of 50,000 housing units will be built across the districts of Başakşehir, Arnavutköy, Tuzla, Çatalca, Esenler and Silivri. The draws will begin in Tuzla. The district schedule is as follows:
- 16–29 March 2023: Tuzla – 20,920 units
- 30 March 2023: Çatalca – 540 units
- 30 March 2023: Silivri (Selimpaşa) – 200 units
- 1–19 April 2023: Arnavutköy, Başakşehir, Esenler – 28,340 units
“My First Workplace” Draws to Be Held for the First Time
Minister Murat Kurum announced that, as part of the “My First Workplace” component, lottery draws will begin for 10,000 commercial units. He stated that the “My First Home, My First Workplace” project activates around 250 sub-sectors, supports employment and helps citizens become business owners. While housing and land draws continue, the work unit draws are now starting. Draws for 3,106 workplaces in 12 provinces will begin on 15 March.
TOKİ Home Prices
The government is subsidizing social housing construction to reduce prices. Approximately 40% of the construction cost has been subsidized. With this support, 2+1 apartments are priced at 608,000 TRY with monthly installments starting from 2,280 TRY, and 3+1 apartments are priced at 850,000 TRY with installments from 3,187 TRY.
The same support applies to land plots and commercial units. Land plots offered with a 10-year, interest-free payment plan come in two types.
Parcels intended for detached homes will range from 350 to 500 square meters. Prices start at 192,500 TRY, with monthly payments beginning at 1,604 TRY. Shared (fractional) land plots start at 112,500 TRY, with installments from 937 TRY. Commercial units start from 351,000 TRY with monthly payments from 2,633 TRY.
