Government Home-Buying Support: Houses Available for 400 TL Monthly Installments

Government Support for Homebuyers! The state is providing assistance to low-income citizens who want to buy homes. The government has effectively launched an initiative to support low-income families seeking homeownership. This support focuses on favorable loan terms and tax measures designed to help these families become homeowners.

Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum stated that TOKİ’s target group is families with low and middle incomes. “We offer citizens the chance to become homeowners with payment plans comparable to rent payments. Most buyers prefer to repay their loans in monthly installments. Through discount campaigns, we provide alternative options for those who wish to pay off all or part of their debt,” he said.

Minister Kurum answered questions about TOKİ’s housing work for lower-income groups and its discount campaign, noting that TOKİ plans to produce nearly 300,000 housing units over five years. He added that approximately 10,000 home and workplace buyers benefited from the 22% discount campaign launched in March for those who want to receive title deeds immediately.

Noting that most buyers prefer monthly installment payments, Kurum said, “In the discount campaign carried out this year, 510,000 Turkish Lira of outstanding debt was closed.” While housing prices vary by province, eligible citizens can purchase these homes with monthly payments similar to rent—around 400 TL in some cases. Buyers who cannot pay off the entire balance in cash may still benefit from the 22% discount on cash payments, provided they pay at least 25% of the outstanding debt up front.
