Government Agencies Hiring Municipal Police and Firefighter Assistants Now

Various public institutions and organizations have published announcements recruiting civil servants for different positions. Candidates who meet the application requirements must apply before the deadline.

Sakarya Geyve Municipality Zabıta Recruitment

According to the announcement from Sakarya Geyve Municipality, recruitment will be held for zabıta (municipal police) positions to serve within the municipality.

Application requirements for candidates with at least an associate degree are as follows:

  • Be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey,
  • Not be deprived of public rights,
  • Not have been convicted of crimes described in Article 53 of the Turkish Penal Code—those against the constitutional order and its operation—or of embezzlement, bribery, theft, fraud, forgery, misuse of trust, fraudulent bankruptcy, rigging tenders, rigging performance of obligations, laundering assets derived from crime, or smuggling, even if pardoned,
  • Have no health condition preventing the performance of duties,
  • Not have been dismissed from public institutions or organizations for moral or disciplinary reasons,
  • Not have resigned from public institutions or organizations within the last year,
  • For male candidates, have no active military obligations as of the application date—be discharged, deferred or exempt,
  • Be under 30 years old as of the application date,
  • Present the required documents at the time of application. Required documents: application form obtained from the municipality’s official website, copy of identity card, diploma copy, KPSS result document with QR code printout, military status document for male candidates, a medical report showing fitness for duty, and a copy of the driver’s license. Applications must be submitted in person to Geyve Municipality by December 25, 2020.
  • Positions to be filled include:
  • Zabıta officer: graduate of Environmental Engineering bachelor’s program, and hold at least a B-class driver’s license,
  • Zabıta officer: graduate of Food Engineering bachelor’s program, and hold at least a B-class driver’s license,
  • Zabıta officer: graduate of Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Economics (repeat removed), Public Administration or Local Governments programs at associate or bachelor level, and hold an A or B class driver’s license.
  • Candidates must have scored at least 60 points in the relevant KPSS score type.

Çorum Municipality Zabıta and Firefighter Recruitment

The application requirements for the recruitment announcement published by Çorum Municipality are as follows:

  • Be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey,
  • Not be deprived of public rights,
  • Not have been convicted of the crimes listed in Article 53 of the Turkish Penal Code, even if pardoned,
  • For male candidates, have no active military obligations as of the application date—be exempt, discharged or deferred,
  • Not have resigned from public institutions or organizations within the last year,
  • Not have been dismissed from public institutions or organizations for moral or disciplinary reasons,
  • Meet the height and weight requirements for zabıta and firefighter positions: at least 167 cm for men and at least 160 cm for women, and the difference between height and weight ratio must not exceed 10 kilograms,
  • Be under 30 years old as of the application date,
  • Have scored at least 60 points in the relevant KPSS score type,
  • For the firefighter position, not have phobias related to enclosed spaces, heights, fire, etc.,
  • Positions to be filled include:
  • Firefighter: graduate of one of the associate degree programs in Firefighting and Fire Safety, Firefighting and Civil Defense, or Civil Defense and Firefighting, and hold at least a C-class driver’s license,
  • Zabıta: graduate of one of the associate degree programs in Local Administrations, Local Administrations (Zabıta) or Local Governments, and hold at least a B-class driver’s license.
  • Eligible candidates must submit their applications in person to the municipality by January 8, 2021.
