You can check court case files online using your national ID number free of charge through the e-Government (e-Devlet) and UYAP digital service portals. By monitoring cases filed against you, you can address potential issues promptly—TC ID-based case file searches can be completed in minutes from your computer or mobile device.
Under the protocol between e-Government and UYAP, every citizen can use interactive services to perform these searches quickly and securely. Below we explain how the process works and what the results mean.
Who Can Search Case Files?
To search for a case file, it is enough to have an e-Government password. You can obtain an e-Government password from PTT branches for a small fee, and then use it to query any cases opened against you online. This service is available only to the person who holds the e-Government password; you cannot use it to follow another person’s case proceedings.
How Can We View Case File Contents?
You can access case file contents through the UYAP portal. As part of information access rights, e-Government and UYAP cooperate to allow citizens to view their case files online.
Where previously many details were inaccessible due to file confidentiality at courthouses, online platforms now allow broader access under legal limits. After the agreement with UYAP, citizens can obtain the following information about a case they query:
- Whether the queried case file has been entered into the Supreme Court (Yargıtay) archive,
- Whether the case file has been reviewed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office,
- The criminal chamber the file was sent to and the reference number assigned to the file in that chamber,
- Whether the receiving chamber returned the file,
- Whether the file was mailed for forwarding to the local court.

How to Search Supreme Court (Yargıtay) Case Files
Yargıtay case file inquiries can be performed through the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Supreme Court or via e-Government. - Select the appropriate inquiry type from options such as “Query by Chamber Information,” “Query by Supreme Court Public Prosecutor Information,” “Query by Local Court Information,” or “Query by First Instance Information.”
- Enter the requested details on the next page and click “Sorgula” (Search) to view file information.
To query Yargıtay files via e-Government:
- Go to the Yargıtay case process query page on e-Government.
- Complete identity verification using your TC ID and e-Government password.
