As of March 23, during the month of Ramadan, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality did not forget families receiving social assistance. To help meet their needs during Ramadan, the municipality deposited 500 TRY each to 199,175 Başkent Cards, totaling 99,587,500 TRY.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which supports social assistance recipients with many needs such as meat, natural gas, school supplies and cafeteria expenses, deposited 500 TRY to each Başkent Card so families could cover their needs during Ramadan.
A statement published today on the municipality’s social media accounts said: “As Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, ahead of the month of Ramadan we deposited a general needs balance of 500 TRY to the Başkent Cards of our 199,175 families receiving social assistance, totaling 99,587,500 TRY.”
How to Apply for the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Assistance Card?
Citizens living below the poverty threshold and residing in Ankara can apply for the social support card called Başkent Card either by visiting application centers in person or through the online platform during Ramadan.

What Is the Limit of the Ankara Social Assistance Card?
For approved applicants who receive the Başkent Card at their home address, the municipality credits aid funds at a rate of 500 TRY every two months, effectively providing 250 TRY per month. Cardholders can withdraw the aid in cash from VakıfBank ATMs, use the Başkent Card as an ATM card, and also load money onto the card.
