Scope of the 3600 Indicator Will Expand

Highlighting that steps are being taken to resolve the long-standing issue of granting the 3600 additional indicator to public employees, Bilgin commented:

“The 3600 had originally been presented as a political commitment concerning only four occupational groups. We resolved that comprehensively by extending a 600 additional indicator and including occupational groups that were not previously on the agenda, so that 5.3 million people would benefit. There remains one unresolved issue. We have discussed this with union representatives from time to time. What is it? We must regulate the 3600 additional indicator as an acquired right for all employees who reach the first degree. We could not do that under the conditions at the time, but our file and our solution path are ready. In fact, our draft law is ready. God willing, this will be one of the first proposals placed on Parliament’s agenda.”

EYT Problem Also Resolved

Minister Vedat Bilgin recalled that they resolved the staffing issue for contracted public employees and provided a welfare share for civil servants. He emphasized that they took a historic step by removing taxes on minimum wage and on incomes up to the minimum wage for all workers.
