How to Get and Verify a Private Security ID Card in Turkey

Private security ID card checks can be performed both online and in person at the relevant authority. To perform a query, the applicant’s Turkish ID number (T.C. identification number) is required. It is possible to perform the query by choosing the province on the General Directorate of Security (EGM) website. Those who wish to apply for a private security ID card can also submit their applications online.

Applicants undergo a security investigation and archive research carried out by the police and gendarmerie. If no negative findings arise from the investigation, the required documents must be submitted. Documents are submitted to the Private Security Branch Directorates.

After the application is submitted, a printed record from the automation system is issued confirming that the application was made and that the provided information is correct. This record, with an original signature, is given to the applicant.
