KOSGEB President Hasan Basri Kurt announced that billions of lira in funding will be allocated to SMEs this year. In response to recent economic challenges, various support measures continue to be offered to businesses facing difficulties. Under the new financing program announced by KOSGEB, the aim is to meet the financing needs of SMEs and enable them to proceed with investments and operations.
Hasan Basri Kurt provided a written statement on the Joint Financing Support program. He said the call has been launched for a program carried out in cooperation with development agencies to increase Turkey’s productive capacity in 2023 and to help SMEs meet their own investment needs.
10 BILLION LIRA ALLOCATED
KOSGEB aims to provide financing to SMEs at near-zero interest rates and has prepared loan packages with a maximum limit of 2.5 million TL. President Kurt stated the goal is to channel 10 billion lira to support 5,000 SMEs, enabling machine and equipment investments and creating employment opportunities for young people.

Kurt noted cooperation with Vakıf Katılım Bankası, which is reported to provide strong backing for the program. Development agencies are also continuing to support the initiative robustly. Within the scope of the Joint Financing Support, SMEs that meet the specified criteria are intended to receive backing from the allocated 10 billion lira so they can sustain and expand their operations successfully.
WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS FOR JOINT FINANCING SUPPORT?
Hasan Basri Kurt confirmed that 10 billion lira has been reserved for SMEs under this program. In this context, the development agencies BAKKA, KUZKA and OKA published their application guides on their websites on January 25.

Through the call issued by these agencies, the aim is to support 200 enterprises across 10 provinces with approximately 75 million lira in funding. Other development agencies are also expected to announce similar calls.
Another recent measure aimed at SMEs was announced by the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Nureddin Nebati, who stated that 250 billion lira in financing will be made available to SMEs. Supports announced by ministries and institutions like KOSGEB are expected to continue in the coming period to help small and medium enterprises weather economic difficulties.
