Minister Selçuk Announced: Those Payments Will Be Made Early! Family, Labour and Social Services Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk has announced that certain payments will be made earlier than scheduled. According to the latest information, Minister Selçuk stated that unemployment benefits and short-time work allowances for this month will be paid ahead of time. In her statement, she provided an update on short-time work and unemployment payments.

In the written announcement from the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, it was announced that June’s unemployment and short-time work payments have been brought forward. According to Minister Selçuk, these short-time work and unemployment benefits will begin to be paid from Monday, 29 June 2020.

Short-Time Work and Unemployment Payments Moved Forward

The short-time work and unemployment payments have been rescheduled earlier. In her written statement about June 2020 payments, Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk explained the arrangements. She noted that, due to measures related to the coronavirus pandemic, payments originally scheduled for 5 July 2020 have been advanced. These payments will be made starting Monday, 29 June 2020, based on the last digit of beneficiaries’ Turkish ID numbers.

Minister Selçuk also explained that short-time work and unemployment payments will be transferred to the IBAN numbers provided during the application process. For those who did not supply an IBAN, payments will be made at PTT branches. She listed the schedule for the dates payments will be credited to accounts as follows:

  • For those whose Turkish ID number ends in 0: Monday, 29 June 2020,
  • For those whose Turkish ID number ends in 2: Tuesday, 30 June 2020,
  • For those whose Turkish ID number ends in 4: Wednesday, 1 July 2020,
  • For those whose Turkish ID number ends in 6: Thursday, 2 July 2020,
  • For those whose Turkish ID number ends in 8: Friday, 3 July 2020.
