How to Apply for the Home Care Allowance? What Are the Requirements?
To receive the home care allowance, applicants must meet certain conditions. The primary requirement is that the person being cared for is dependent and requires assistance. Eligibility also depends on income criteria. Household income is divided by the number of household members to determine whether the per-person income meets the threshold. The dependent or disabled person is included in this count. To apply, a petition can be submitted to the local Directorate of Family and Social Policies in the location where the dependent person resides, and the allowance may be granted following assessment.
