Today people must travel from one place to another to meet their needs, and they usually do this by using vehicles — either public transportation or their own private cars. To drive these vehicles in our country, drivers must hold a license issued under the Ministry of National Education. Driving licenses are obtained through driving schools that operate in every city. Students attend these schools, receive the required training and must pass the official driving examinations prepared by the Ministry. The first exam is a written test and, if successful, it is followed by a practical driving test.

- Drivers’ Chamber license file fee: 10

- A1, A2, F, H class license tax fee: 126.70
- B class license tax fee: 381.70
- D, E, G class license tax fee: 636.60
- International driving permit: 254.40
The last written exam for the 12 December 2015 session was scheduled for that date. The practical driving tests were set for 2–3 January 2016.
Payment notes: The license tax is not paid at banks; only the exam fee is paid at a bank, while the license tax must be paid at the tax office. Candidates can pay the exam fee at branches of T.C. Ziraat Bankası, Türkiye Vakıflar Bankası T.A.O., or Türkiye Halk Bankası A.Ş. through the “Corporate Collection Program,” using their national ID number during the payment period indicated on the MTSAS calendar. The bank receipt must include the candidate’s full name, national ID number and the name of the exam. The candidate must submit the bank receipt to the MTSK directorate within the application period specified in the MTSAS schedule. If the national ID number is entered incorrectly, the candidate is responsible. The payment deadlines shown on the MTSAS calendar are not changed or extended. For the exam held on 12 December 2015, the final date to pay exam fees was 17 November.

2016 Driving Test Dates
Following the 12 December 2015 Saturday exam, the 2016 exam schedule was announced. The 2016 driving test dates are as follows:
