He said he discussed the matter with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and that there would be good news for citizens aged 65 and over. Following the president’s directives and the recommendations of the Scientific Board, those aged 65 and over who wish to travel to their hometowns can obtain permission from the local district governor’s office (kaymakamlık), provided they are going to a fixed address where they will stay and provided there are no health concerns. The permission procedure can begin tomorrow for those who intend to travel to their hometowns and remain away for one month.
