Breaking: 48-Hour Curfew Imposed in 31 Provinces

In a late-breaking announcement, the Interior Ministry has declared a 48-hour curfew across 30 metropolitan municipalities and Zonguldak, effective from 00:01 on April 10, 2020. This temporary restriction is being implemented as part of measures to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to the ministry’s statement, the curfew begins at 00:01 on April 10, 2020 and will remain in force until 24:00 on Sunday, April 12, 2020. The ban applies to the metropolitan municipalities listed below and to the province of Zonguldak, and is intended to reduce the spread of the virus.

The curfew will be enforced within the administrative boundaries of the listed metropolitan municipalities and Zonguldak for a period of 48 hours. As stated by the Interior Ministry, the measure takes effect at 00:01 on April 10, 2020 and continues until 24:00 on April 12, 2020, as part of efforts to limit COVID-19 transmission.
