2020 LGS Exam Results Announced! The results of the centralized LGS exam have been published on the official meb.gov.tr website. According to the latest information, the Ministry of National Education released the results of the centralized exam held on Saturday, June 20, 2020. In the centralized LGS exam, 181 students from 42 different provinces answered every question correctly and achieved a perfect score of 500. As in the previous year, the Ministry also published the Central Exam Evaluation Report at the same time as the LGS results.
Participation in the LGS Increased Compared to Last Year
Participation in the LGS increased compared to last year. The centralized LGS exam took place on Saturday, June 20, 2020. While approximately 1,029,555 students participated in the 2019 exam, 1,472,088 students took the exam in 2020. Therefore, the number of candidates rose compared to the previous year. To ensure the exam could be conducted safely and smoothly, the Ministry of National Education increased the number of schools involved by roughly five times and doubled the number of assigned personnel.
No Question Cancellations in the 2020 LGS Exam
No questions were canceled in the 2020 LGS exam. On June 20, 2020, students faced a total of 90 questions across different subject areas. The LGS began at 09:30; in the first session students completed Turkish, Religious Culture, History of the Turkish Republic and Atatürk’s Principles, and Foreign Language tests. The second session started at 11:30, covering Mathematics and Science questions. No questions were annulled in the centralized exam.
In the 2020 central exam’s verbal section, the Turkish test contained 20 questions with an average correct answers per subtest of 10.00. The History of the Turkish Republic and Atatürk’s Principles subtest (10 questions) had an average of 5.05 correct answers, the Religious Culture and Ethics subtest averaged 6.39, and the Foreign Language subtest averaged 3.53. In the quantitative section there were 20 Mathematics questions and 20 Science questions. The average number of correct answers in the Mathematics test was 4.89, while the Science subtest averaged 10.21 correct answers. Overall, students performed better in the 2020 LGS exam compared with the 2019 exam.

181 students achieved a perfect score in the 2020 LGS exam. On June 20, 2020, 181 students from 42 different provinces answered every question correctly and earned the full 500 points. Scores among students ranged from 100 to 500; 7.85% of candidates scored between 400 and 500. The largest share of students, 56.29%, fell in the 200–299 score range. The average exam score was 286.35, with a standard deviation of 69.22.
