The Minister of Health Announced: 8,844 Contracted Personnel to Be Hired via KPSS! According to Health Minister Fahrettin Koca’s statement, approximately 8,844 contracted personnel will be recruited through the central placement process carried out by ÖSYM based on KPSS scores. Minister Koca announced that the Ministry will fill positions in its provincial service units via the central placement conducted by ÖSYM according to Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) scores, resulting in the recruitment of exactly 8,844 contracted staff. Which Units Will Hire Contracted Personnel?
Which units will hire contracted personnel? In his Twitter announcement, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca specified the units where contracted staff will be placed. He stated: “To be employed in the Ministry’s provincial service units, we are recruiting 8,844 contracted health personnel through the central placement by ÖSYM based on KPSS scores.” He also provided the distribution of how many staff will be hired for each unit.
According to the announcement, the distribution of the 8,844 positions is as follows:
- Nurses: 3,762 positions
- Midwives: 1,091 positions
- Health Technicians / Health Technologists: 3,476 positions (including social workers, biologists, psychologists, audiologists, dietitians, child development specialists, physiotherapists, occupational and activity therapists, speech and language therapists, perfusionists, and medical physicists).
Candidates interested in applying to the fields listed above will be able to submit their preferences after the relevant Preference Guide is published on the ÖSYM website. Preference submissions are scheduled to be made between February 14 and February 20. Announcements and further details will be shared on the Ministry’s Directorate General of Administrative Services website and ÖSYM’s official site, which applicants should monitor for updates.
Minister Koca also noted that the work plan for contracted personnel recruitment for 2020 has been completed. He added that discussions with relevant institutions regarding position creation and permission for external appointments are ongoing. Minister Koca expressed his belief that these appointments will contribute significantly to delivering higher-quality health services and wished success to the healthcare community.
