SGK Announces Hiring for 935 Civil Servants – How to Apply and Requirements

The Social Security Institution (SGK) is expected to recruit 935 public employees across various branches for 2023. Candidates are waiting for the announcement that will open the application period.

Positions to be filled include technician, technologist, officer, data preparation and control operator (VHKİ), engineer, specialist, and chief. Estimated distribution of vacancies is as follows: central organization to receive 30 specialists, 14 technicians and 37 technologists, 668 data preparation and control operators, 55 officers, 88 chiefs, and 43 engineers, totaling 935 positions.

Along with the imminent opening of applications, candidates particularly hope for appointments based on KPSS (Public Personnel Selection Exam) without interviews. Relaxation of age requirements is another common expectation. Many applicants are requesting an increase in the previous 35‑year age limit so that older candidates can apply.

What Are the Application Requirements?

The requirements for the 935 positions announced by SGK are expected to include the following:

  • Applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Turkey, in line with previous public institution recruitment announcements.
  • In addition to submitting an application, candidates must meet the education level specified by the institution and have a KPSS score at or above the minimum threshold required for the relevant positions.
  • Applicants with a criminal record or those who do not pass the archive investigation will not be eligible to apply. Candidates must meet all conditions required for civil servant status.
  • Male candidates must have fulfilled their military service obligations or be exempt, as is customary for public sector recruitment.
  • Candidates who have completed their 35th year and reached 36 will not be eligible for these positions under the current age restriction.

Although SGK has not yet issued an official announcement, candidates should follow the institution’s formal communications and submit applications only after the official notice is published. Because the announcement is not finalized, details such as foreign language (YDS) requirements and whether interviews will be conducted remain uncertain. Based on previous recruitments, it is likely that specialist positions will include both interview requirements and a foreign language score condition, but the definitive rules will be confirmed in the official announcement.
