The Open Education System is an option chosen by students who, after high school, do not wish to pursue formal daytime or evening education. Because courses are delivered remotely and exams are scheduled for convenience, the open education system is a popular choice among students, and its enrollment grows each year. Approximately 1.4 million students pursue higher education through the Open Education Faculty, which offers 17 undergraduate and 34 associate degree programs and continues to provide instruction every academic year.
The Open Education, Economics and Business Faculties processed the 2016–2017 Fall Semester AÖF Registration Renewal procedures, including registration renewal, add-drop course transactions, and payment of the registration fee.
Open Education Faculty registration renewals began on Monday, September 26, 2016, and ended at the close of business on Friday, October 7, 2016. Students with excused reasons were also able to renew their registration on October 7, 2016. For the Spring Semester, the faculty will assign courses so that the total does not exceed 30 ECTS credits. Except for courses the student must retake, students may reduce courses assigned by the faculty or add courses from higher semesters provided the total does not exceed 45 ECTS credits.

Course add and drop transactions during registration renewal at the Open Education Faculty are performed in the Course Add–Drop Automation section accessible from the faculty’s online portal. Open Education Faculty Registration Renewal Fees and Accepted Banks
In addition to updating student information during AÖF registration renewal, payment of registration fees must be made through the methods specified below. Payments by postal transfer, bank transfer, or EFT are not accepted unless processed by one of the approved methods described.
VakıfBank Branch Payment
You can pay your AÖF registration renewal or initial registration fee at any VakıfBank branch by providing your Turkish ID number and indicating the type of registration and program.
Payment via VakıfBank Internet Banking
If you use VakıfBank internet banking, you can make your fee payment through the bank’s online platform. Follow the internet banking steps to complete tuition and exam payments, confirm the transaction, and save the receipt displayed after payment.
Payment via VakıfBank ATMs
Cardless Payment
You may also pay registration fees at VakıfBank ATMs without a card. You will need the Open Education Faculty code and your Turkish ID number to complete the payment.
Card Payment
It is also possible to pay your registration fee or new registration fee by card at the ATM. Follow the on-screen prompts, enter the Open Education Faculty code, deposit the payment, and retain your payment receipt.
Payment via Telephone Banking
VakıfBank internet customers can call VakıfBank Telephone Banking at 444 0 724. Follow the prompts for Banking Services, enter your 12-digit VakıfBank customer number and 8-digit internet password, and connect to a customer representative to complete your payment.
