The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) has announced important updates regarding the recruitment of numerous personnel for various units. The announcement about hiring workers and staff outlined details about 555 staff positions and 1,115 worker positions, including decisions to postpone certain procedures and information on how to check exam schedules.
A recent MSB recruitment notice had indicated a total intake of 1,670 workers and personnel. Following that announcement, the recruitment process was affected by the devastating earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş, which caused many casualties and severe damage across ten provinces; as a result, postponements were implemented.
NEW STATEMENT FROM MSB ON PERSONNEL RECRUITMENT
After the initial recruitment announcement for workers and personnel, the Ministry of National Defense issued an additional statement due to the earthquake. The MSB and the National Defense University (MSÜ) indicated that examinations and related procedures for the recruitment of 555 personnel and 1,115 workers will be postponed.
Following the publication of the ads and the start of applications, a new notice was released to inform applicants. Candidates planning to apply to these vacancies have begun searching for updated dates and other details after the postponement announcement.
MSB WORKER RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
The Ministry of National Defense published two separate notices regarding the recruitment of workers. Candidates who qualified to take the exam after document verification were informed, and postponement notices were issued for scheduled exams. According to the announcement, applications for the MSB’s intake of 1,115 workers were collected in the final months of 2022, and the lottery for selection took place on December 8, 2022. Following the lottery, document verifications were conducted between December 26, 2022 and January 14, 2023 to confirm that the candidates listed met the application requirements.
POSTPONEMENT NOTICE ISSUED
The schedule for continuous worker recruitment activities for employment at workplaces affiliated with the Ministry of National Defense was updated following the major earthquake on February 6, 2023. Updated exam dates can be checked on the personnel recruitment portal at “personeltemin.msb.gov.tr” via the relevant query screen. Candidates can perform queries using their Turkish ID number and verification code.
