The Ministry of Family and Social Services has announced the updated amounts for social assistance payments to those in need. Following the increase in the civil servant salary coefficient effective January 2023, several support payments have been adjusted upward.
Payments such as Home Care Allowance, Social and Economic Support (SED) and Family Support are now being made at the increased 2023 rates. Old-age pensions rose to 1,997 TL, and payments for people with 40–69% disability rose to 1,594 TL. Many other social assistance figures have also been clarified under the new rates.

How Much Is the 2023 Home Care Allowance?
Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık announced the updated Home Care Allowance amounts for 2023. For eligible recipients, payments that were 3,336 TL for the January and July 2023 periods have been increased to 4,336 TL. The Ministry also reported that a total of 18 billion TL was provided in home care assistance during 2022.
How Much Is the 2023 SED (Social and Economic Support)?
The Social and Economic Support (SED) payments provided by the Ministry to needy families are also being paid at the new 2023 rates. Support for children in needy households increased from 2,337 TL to 3,038 TL. Meanwhile, payments to foster families rose from an average monthly 3,644 TL to 4,853 TL per child.
How Much Is the 2023 Family Support Payment?
The payment amounts under the Family Support Program for those in need have been determined. The Ministry provides support payments based on household income. The Family Support payments for 2023 are organized by income bands as follows:
- Households with income 450 TL and below: 1,250 TL
- Households with income above 450 TL and below 911.15 TL: 1,100 TL
- Households with income 911.15 TL and above but below 1,372.30 TL: 950 TL
- Households with income 1,372.30 TL and above but below 1,833.45 TL: 850 TL
These revised amounts reflect the Ministry’s adjustments to ensure support keeps pace with the updated salary coefficient and cost-of-living considerations.
