Assignments will be limited to health facilities located within the same province but outside the physician’s training hospital.

The Ministry has announced regulatory changes clarifying how medical and dental students can be deployed within health facilities and has updated the related regulation governing assignments. In addition, the amendment concerning the regulation for specialty trainees in medicine and dentistry was published in the Official Gazette today.
Under this amendment: Article 1 — an addition has been made to the fourth paragraph of Article 11 of the Regulation on Specialty Training in Medicine and Dentistry, originally published in the Official Gazette dated 26.04.2014 and numbered 28983.
“However, in extraordinary circumstances such as earthquakes, floods, or epidemic diseases where services cannot continue as normal, specialty trainees may be assigned to practice medical duties at health facilities located in the same province but outside their training institution for a period not exceeding three months. Time spent in these duties will be counted toward their training.” The Ministry of Health will enforce the provisions of the amended regulation.
