General Health Insurance activation can change health entitlement status for citizens who marry, divorce, lose their jobs, or experience a change in their insurance coverage. Health entitlements for those who leave employment, whose retirement pensions are suspended, or who have died can be automatically terminated through the GSS activation process. Previously, some General Health Insurance transactions could be performed on the Social Security Institution’s official site without a password by entering the requested information. However, the E-SGM system has been discontinued. For this reason, you can now carry out these transactions through the e-Government (E-Devlet) system with a password, which has long provided and continues to provide many public service query functions. Nearly all GSS-related transactions, including the General Health Insurance activation procedure, are available through E-Devlet. How to Check GSS Activation?
To check GSS activation, click the link provided at the end of this article. On the page that opens, you will be asked to complete an identity verification step. You will need to enter your Turkish ID number (T.C. identification number) and your E-Devlet password. If you do not have an E-Devlet password, you can obtain one at the nearest PTT branch by applying in person with your ID and paying a 2 TL processing fee. After entering your information, verify the details and click the “Sisteme Giriş Yap” (Log in to the system) button. By following these steps, you will complete your General Health Insurance activation process.
