Bridges and Highways Will Be Free During Eid al-Adha

Bridges and highways will be free during the Eid al-Adha holiday. According to the latest official announcement published in the Official Gazette, tolls on certain bridges and highways will be waived for the duration of the holiday. Specifically, highways managed by the General Directorate of Highways and crossings on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge will be toll-free during the announced period.

Bridges and Highways That Will Be Free During Eid al-Adha

As part of the Eid al-Adha holiday arrangements, highways under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways and the two Istanbul Bosphorus bridges—the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge—will be free of charge. The exemption begins at midnight on Thursday, 30 July 2020 and remains in effect until 07:00 on Tuesday morning, 4 August 2020.

In addition, municipal public transportation services operated by municipalities and their affiliated institutions and enterprises will be free of charge from midnight on Friday, 31 July 2020 until midnight on Monday, 3 August 2020. Another free service during this period will be provided on Başkentray and Marmaray lines: these rail services will be free from midnight on Friday, 31 July 2020 until midnight on Monday, 3 August 2020.
