The Coast Guard Command announced on October 24, 2023, that it will recruit civil servants to fill personnel shortages within the command and to assign them in November. Details about vacancies, application requirements and dates are provided below.
What Are the Civil Servant Vacancy Positions?
The Coast Guard Command will hire civil servants for the following positions:
- Accounting Officer
- Waiter/Waitress
- Gardener
- Computer Engineer
- Human Trafficking Prevention Specialist
- Painter/Decorator


When Can Candidates Apply?
Applications for the Coast Guard Command civil servant recruitment will be accepted between November 1 and November 10, 2023. Applications can be submitted via the e-Government portal or through the Coast Guard Command job application page on the national portal.
What Are the General Requirements for the Coast Guard Civil Servant Recruitment?
General requirements follow the conditions listed in Article 48 of Law No. 657 on Civil Servants. In this context, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey
- Not have any health condition preventing the performance of duties
- Not be deprived of public rights
- For male candidates, have completed military service or be exempted from it
- Obtain positive results from the security investigation and archival research
- Not have been convicted of any criminal offense
- 1 Computer Engineer
- 1 Human Trafficking Prevention Specialist
- 1 Accounting Officer
- 3 Waiters/Waitresses
- 4 Painters/Decorators
- 3 Gardeners
Candidates must not currently hold positions subject to Law No. 657 in any public institution or organization. In addition, applicants who previously served as contracted officers, non-commissioned officers, specialist sergeants or contracted privates whose contracts were terminated, or who are currently serving in such roles, are not eligible. Candidates must meet these conditions to apply.
What Are the Special Application Requirements?
Some positions require additional qualifications, including KPSS scores, education level and age limits. Selections will be based on the 2022 KPSS results. For university degree positions, KPSS P3 is required; for associate degree positions, KPSS P93; and for high school graduate positions, KPSS P94.
Regarding age, applicants must be at least 18 years old according to their population registry (born on or before November 10, 2005). Applicants must also not have reached their 36th birthday as of January 1, 2023 (born on or after January 1, 1988) to be eligible for these vacancies.
