Date Announced for Release of 2020 LGS Exam Results

The date for announcing the 2020 LGS exam results has been set. As the world continues to navigate life under the shadow of the coronavirus, many processes have been adapted or postponed. The LGS exam, which was delayed because of the pandemic, was held in accordance with the safety measures implemented over recent months. According to the latest updates, the LGS exam administered on Saturday, June 20, 2020, will have its results published on Thursday, July 16, 2020. There were no question cancellations in the administered exam.

According to a statement from the Minister of National Education, Ziya Selçuk, none of the questions in the LGS exam held on Saturday, June 20, 2020, were canceled. Minister Selçuk confirmed that the exam was conducted as planned on June 20. The exam took place in two sessions: 1,472,088 students attended the first session, and 1,472,303 students attended the second session. Compared to the 2019 LGS, participation rose by approximately 43 percent in 2020. Despite the coronavirus outbreak, the number of students taking the exam increased significantly, and the process was completed without major problems.

No Question Cancellations in the 2020 LGS Exam

There will be no question cancellations for the 2020 LGS exam. Minister Ziya Selçuk announced that none of the questions from the June 20, 2020 exam were annulled. He stated that no questions were invalidated after the exam. The exam results will be released on Thursday, July 16, 2020, accompanied by an evaluation report prepared by experts. That report will review student performance and the characteristics of the tests in detail. On the same day the results are published, the preference guide will also be released. Once students learn their results, they can begin their placement preferences according to the rules listed in the guide published that day.
