GİB 2024: 1321 Civil Servant Vacancies and Requirements

According to the recruitment announcement published by the Revenue Administration (Gelir İdaresi Başkanlığı), 1,321 civil servants will be hired in 2024 under Law No. 657 on Civil Servants to fill staffing needs within the Presidency. Selections will be made based on KPSS scores, and applicants must meet the requirements described below.

What Is the GİB Recruitment Quota Distribution?

One frequently asked question about the Revenue Administration’s recruitment is the quota distribution. The GİB will hire a total of 1,321 civil servants: 1,271 Revenue Assistant Specialists and 50 State Revenue Assistant Specialists.

What Requirements Must Applicants Meet?

The general requirements for GİB recruitment correspond to the conditions listed in Article 48 of Law No. 657 on Civil Servants. These requirements include the following:

  • Being a citizen of the Republic of Turkey,
  • Not being deprived of public rights,
  • Having no health condition that would prevent performance of duties,
  • Obtaining a positive result from archive research and security investigation,

What Is the Age Requirement?

There is an age requirement for this recruitment. Applicants must be Turkish citizens (including immigrants from Bulgaria) who have not completed 35 years of age as of January 1 of the exam year. In other words, candidates born on January 1, 1989 or later are eligible.

What Are the KPSS Score Requirements?

Recruitment will be based on KPSS scores. Applicants must have achieved the required scores in the 2022 or 2023 KPSS exams: at least 65 or 70 points in the P48 or P3 score types, as specified in the announcement. Applications that do not meet this requirement will not be accepted.

What Are the Education Requirements?

Education requirements depend on the position. To be appointed as a Revenue Assistant Specialist, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from faculties such as Law, Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, or Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, or from four-year programs deemed equivalent by the authorized body.

To be appointed as a State Revenue Assistant Specialist, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from Law, Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, or from engineering faculties in fields such as Information Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer and Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering, or Software Engineering, or from four-year programs recognized as equivalent by the Council of Higher Education.

Applications Will Be Accepted in 2024

Applications for the Revenue Administration’s civil servant recruitment will begin next year.

For the State Revenue Assistant Specialist positions, preliminary applications to the exam will be accepted between March 7 and March 13, 2024, and final applications between March 22 and March 28, 2024. Candidates who cannot apply to ÖSYM between March 22 and March 28 will be allowed a late application day on April 3, 2024.

For the Revenue Assistant Specialist positions, applications will open on Monday, April 15, 2024, and close on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 17:00. Applications will be collected during this 10-day period.
