Health Minister Announces Seven Provinces with Alarming Rise in Coronavirus Cases

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has identified seven provinces where coronavirus cases have shown alarming increases over the past three days. In his daily briefing, the minister released the latest COVID-19 statistics and highlighted the provinces with notable upward trends. According to the minister’s report, in the past 24 hours 1,148 new cases were confirmed. During the same period 19 people lost their lives, bringing the cumulative case count to 205,758 and the total death toll to 5,225. In the last 24 hours, 1,188 patients recovered, raising the total number of recovered patients to 180,680.

According to the updated figures published on the Health Ministry website, 46,114 tests were carried out in the past 24 hours, resulting in 1,148 new diagnoses. The total number of tests conducted to date stands at 3,630,480, with cumulative confirmed cases at 205,758. Currently, 1,127 patients are in intensive care and 392 patients are on ventilators. The total number of patients who have recovered so far is 180,680. Following the publication of the daily figures, the minister issued warnings and listed the provinces that have experienced the largest increases in cases over the last three days.

After naming the provinces with rising case counts, Minister Koca emphasized that intensive care patient numbers continue to increase following new cases. He warned that while protective measures are applied, the daily death totals cannot be considered normal or acceptable.
