How to Get Free Masks via e-Government, Who Is Eligible? As the coronavirus continues to affect the world, mask use has become increasingly important across Turkey, as in other countries. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that masks would be distributed to citizens free of charge, and PTT branches began initial distribution. Large numbers of people queued at PTT branches to receive free masks. Afterward, mask use was made mandatory and PTT introduced a new distribution procedure.
PTT will no longer distribute masks at branches in the same way, preventing long queues and crowding. Maintaining social distance in public is critical in the fight against COVID-19. For this reason, PTT announced that it will accept online requests through the ePTTAVM system and deliver masks by courier free of charge to eligible applicants.
Through the ePTTAVM website form, each applicant will receive five three-layer masks. Individuals are entitled to five free masks per week. The online ordering option via ePTTAVM does not include citizens aged 20 and under or 65 and over.
