With the new chip-enabled Turkish ID card, cash withdrawals from PTT ATMs are now possible. Turkey continues to advance with new applications and services, and this latest development will be welcome news for many citizens. For the first time across the country, PTT A.Ş. will enable beneficiaries of social assistance, birth allowances and İŞKUR payments to withdraw their funds conveniently from PTT ATMs using their chip-enabled ID cards.
According to PTT A.Ş., payments distributed under the Economic Stability Shield Support Package Program, provided by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services, can be withdrawn at PTT ATMs. Within the scope of this program, social assistance payments, birth allowances and İŞKUR disbursements will be accessible at PTT ATMs without the need to visit a branch.
Withdraw Cash from PTT ATMs with Your Chip-enabled Turkish ID Card
This nationwide first allows all citizens, whether they have a PTT account or not, to withdraw money from PTT ATMs using a chip-enabled Turkish ID card. When citizens receive their ID cards from population directorates, they are given a PIN; by using that PIN at ATMs, they can access and withdraw payments deposited to them. Citizens who have forgotten their PIN can also complete transactions at PTT service points.
Recipients will be notified of payment dates via SMS to their mobile phones. Meanwhile, PTT A.Ş. continues to provide services safely during the COVID-19 period: social distancing measures are applied in front of service locations for the protection of citizens and employees, and nearly 4,000 PTT ATMs nationwide are disinfected regularly.
