The planned construction sites for the 2020 Istanbul housing project are Tuzla, Arnavutköy, and Başakşehir.
As part of the 100,000-home project in Istanbul, apartments will be built for low-income households using a horizontal architectural approach that supports neighborhood community life. Units will be planned mainly as 2+1 and 3+1 layouts. Applicants to the program have been waiting to learn the lottery schedule. With the announcement of the draw date, applicants began preparing for the lottery with renewed interest.
When Will the TOKİ Istanbul Lottery Be Held?
The date for the TOKİ Istanbul lottery has been set for the demand received under the planned 100,000 social housing project. For the three Istanbul projects, the first draw for 10,000 units will take place in the Tuzla area, where 117,650 applications were received. The draw for 5,750 condominiums in Tuzla is scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2020.

How Will the TOKİ Istanbul Lottery Be Conducted?
The lottery process for the TOKİ 100,000-home project in Istanbul will be conducted as follows:
- The determination draw to select beneficiaries will be held before a notary and supervised by bank and administration officials.
- A quota equal to 10% of the housing stock will be reserved for families of martyrs, war and duty disabled persons, and widows and orphans; beneficiaries in these categories will be selected by draw when deemed necessary. Applicants in these categories who are not selected will be included in the general pool and participate in the main draw with other applicants.
- A quota equal to 5% of the housing total will be reserved for citizens with at least 40% disability; beneficiaries in this category will be selected by draw when necessary. Applicants in this category who are not selected will join the main draw with other applicants.
- For other prospective homebuyers, beneficiaries will be determined by draw if required, in line with the administration’s standard procedures and according to the number of applications received.
- Applicants who are not selected as primary or reserve beneficiaries in the draw may request a refund of their application payments from authorized branches of T.C. Ziraat Bankası A.Ş. starting two business days after the draw.
- After the independent unit list and housing prices for the project are finalized, a Housing Selection Draw will be held by the administration on the announced date.
If the number of available units decreases after the tender, an additional beneficiary-selection draw will be held among those already designated as beneficiaries in the initial draw to match the available unit count.
