The Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) has released details for applicants who applied for housing in Istanbul. According to the announcement published on TOKİ’s official website, the drawing of lots for the republic’s largest social housing project had been temporarily suspended following the major earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş that affected a total of 11 provinces.
Interest continues to build for the TOKİ Istanbul lottery that will determine beneficiaries for 2+1 and 3+1 social housing units. Applications have been reviewed and the list of approved and rejected applications for the European side of Istanbul has been finalized.
WHEN WILL TOKİ LOTTERIES BE HELD?
TOKİ has announced those entitled to participate in the Istanbul lottery and applicants whose submissions were rejected. Exact dates for the remaining lot drawings are still being confirmed. In this context, details for TOKİ applications in Arnavutköy, Başakşehir and Esenler on the European side of Istanbul have been clarified.
The lottery process, which began in November of last year, is expected to continue through March 2023. Beneficiaries for both 2+1 and 3+1 units are determined by lots drawn in the presence of a notary. Implemented through the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and TOKİ, the social housing project’s lot drawings are planned to be completed within six months. Accordingly, beneficiaries for 250,000 housing units should be identified by March.

Applicants who want to learn their TOKİ lottery results can check them online. Results from the notary-held draws across all 81 provinces are published on the official address a.toki.gov.tr. Through the online services screen, eligible beneficiaries can securely verify their outcome.
It is possible to follow the nationwide social housing project’s lottery results via the internet. Once the draws, expected to conclude by March 2023, are finalized, the next steps for successful applicants will begin.
