The Ministry of Health has begun announcing worker and personnel recruitments for 2024. Many people have been eagerly awaiting these hires; the Ministry is expected to announce positions and application dates based on requests from its central units. As in previous years, this recruitment aims to identify staff shortages in hospitals and fill vacant positions accordingly.
The Process Has Started for Personnel Recruitment Across 81 Provinces
The Ministry of Health has initiated the process to recruit personnel for all 81 provinces. After hospital staff shortages are identified, hospitals in each province will submit written reports of their needs to the Ministry. Once the Ministry forwards the identified vacancies to the Presidency and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signs off, the recruitment process for workers and personnel at the Ministry of Health will be announced by Fahrettin Koca.
Recruitment of Disabled Cleaning Staff
According to another announcement from the Ministry of Health, 216 permanent disabled public workers will be hired as cleaning staff across 22 different provinces. Applications for these cleaning staff positions were scheduled to close on November 6, 2023.

Ministry of Health to Recruit 25 Civil Servants
The Ministry’s central organization will recruit Assistant Health Specialists to be employed in vacant grade 5, 7 and 9 positions within General Administrative Services. Vacancies span several fields, with planned hires including 11 economics/business/finance graduates, 4 lawyers, 3 public administration graduates, 2 computer engineers, 2 health management graduates, 1 statistician, 1 mathematician, and 1 industrial engineer.

What Are the Application Requirements for Worker and Personnel Recruitment?
Both general and specific conditions will apply for applications to Ministry of Health worker and personnel positions. Generally, candidates are required to meet the numbered conditions 1, 4, 6 and 7 under Article 48/A of Law No. 657 on Civil Servants.
Specific Conditions for Worker Recruitment
For worker recruitments published through İŞKUR and intended for hospitals, the required conditions include:
- Be at least 18 and under 40 years old at the time of application.
- Have at least a primary school diploma.
- Provide documentation showing no mental illness that would prevent performing the job.
- Have completed education in fields relevant to the specific job.
Specific Conditions for Personnel Recruitment
- Have obtained KPSS scores in 2022 or 2023: P94 for high school, P93 for associate degree and P3 for bachelor’s degree candidates.
- Be a graduate at the appropriate level (high school, associate degree or bachelor’s) for the relevant field.
- Not be receiving retirement or old-age pension from any social security institution.
When Will Applications Be Accepted?
Applications for Ministry of Health worker and personnel positions will open in 2024 following publication of formal announcements. Requests for vacancies are already being collected; based on identified needs, announcements are expected in December and hiring to begin in 2024.
