Health Minister Announces Hiring of 3,250 New Health Staff

The Minister of Health has announced the recruitment of 3,250 personnel. In an official statement, the Ministry of Health confirmed that 3,250 new staff will be hired. Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca stated that the recruits will be selected according to KPSS scores and will be employed across Istanbul. The announcement also detailed which specialties will be recruited and the timeframe for applications.

Minister Fahrettin Koca explained via social media that the new health personnel will be appointed within the Ministry. He reiterated that 3,250 positions will be filled and that the recruited staff will serve in health institutions throughout Istanbul.

Which Specialties Are Included in the 3,250 Hires?

The Ministry’s announcement clarified that the majority of the 3,250 positions will be for nurses. In addition to nurses, the intake will include health technicians, midwives, psychologists, dietitians, social workers, and physiotherapists. These roles reflect the Ministry’s need to strengthen a range of clinical and support services across the city.

Separately, the Ministry stated that 250 permanent workers will be hired for support services: 108 workers for cleaning services, 113 for maintenance and repair services, and 29 for protection and security services. Minister Koca encouraged applicants to follow the Ministry’s online announcements for updates related to the 3,250 Istanbul hires and wished candidates success in their duties.

The preference guide for these personnel appointments will be published on ÖSYM’s website. After the guide is released, candidates will be able to submit their preferences between June 16 and June 22, 2020.
