Good news for candidates taking the Higher Education Exam (YKS): the first online practice test date has been announced. The Ministry of National Education (MEB) will run the first online mock exam for YKS candidates on May 30, 2020. This online practice program, organized under the Ministry, aims to support students preparing for the Higher Education Institutions Exam. The first session of the online mock exam will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2020.
The Ministry of National Education will launch online mini practice tests for 12th-grade students preparing for the Higher Education Institutions Exam. Preparations continue at full speed within the scope of the coronavirus measures. As part of this effort, online mini practice tests will be available for 12th-grade students preparing for the YKS. The first online mini exam will be held on May 30, 2020, in two sessions. The first session will cover all subjects included in the YKS and will begin at 19:00, lasting 70 minutes.
YKS Online Practice Test Content
The content of the YKS online practice tests is designed to support candidates preparing for the Higher Education Exam. Online exams will consist of two sessions. The first session covers all subjects of the YKS. The first online test scheduled for May 30 will start at 19:00 and last 70 minutes. In the first session, a total of 60 questions will be asked: 15 questions each from Mathematics and Turkish Language and Literature, and 5 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography and Philosophy.
The second session will focus on English and will start at 21:00. It will last 30 minutes and include 20 questions. The series of mini online practice tests will be held weekly: the first on May 30, the second on June 6, the third on June 13, and the fourth on June 20. Each mini online test consists of two sessions. Students who wish to participate must register for both sessions. Pre-registration remains open until 15 minutes before the exam start time.
Registered students can log into the system and wait in the waiting room beginning 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Correct answers and detailed solutions will be published the same day at 21:30 on the Directorate General of Secondary Education’s official YouTube channel. After the exam concludes, students can view their mini practice test results through the system by entering their national ID number. PDFs of the mini practice test questions, along with solutions, will be published on eba.gov.tr on Sunday starting at 13:00.
