Bağ-Kur Office Hours and Customer Service Times

Bağ-Kur is one of the three institutions that provide social security services in our country. As a social state, the government works to meet the basic needs of its citizens. For this reason, the services offered to citizens in many countries are described under the term social security. In our country, social security services include health coverage, payment of hospital expenses, retirement rights and pension payments. Citizens must meet certain conditions to benefit from these services. When the conditions set for providing social security are met, everyone can access the services as needed. Three different institutions are responsible for delivering social security services in our country. These institutions provide services to citizens based on various criteria. Bağ-Kur is one of these institutions. Bağ-Kur generally provides social security for self-employed people such as tradespeople, artisans, craftsmen and similar professionals, as well as for those who are not employed. Since citizens who receive social security through Bağ-Kur complete all their transactions with this institution, it is useful to know the Bağ-Kur working hours.

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, Bağ-Kur is one of the three organizations administering social security services in the country. The other institutions are the Civil Servants’ Pension Fund (Emekli Sandığı) and the Social Insurance Institution (SSK). Each of these institutions serves a specific segment of the population. Social security benefits are generally determined by individuals’ employment status and are provided differently by each institution. Citizens who will benefit from the Civil Servants’ Pension Fund must be government employees. Public officials employed in any public-sector position are eligible for the benefits offered by the Civil Servants’ Pension Fund. In contrast, the Social Insurance Institution (SSK) provides social security for citizens working in private-sector jobs. Bağ-Kur serves those who work independently or are not affiliated with an employer. Social security in our country is funded through premium payments. For those covered by the Civil Servants’ Pension Fund, premiums are paid automatically. For those covered by the Social Insurance Institution, premiums are paid by employers. Individuals who obtain services through Bağ-Kur are responsible for paying their own premiums. Whether a person is self-employed or not working, they can receive Bağ-Kur coverage by making regular premium contributions. This coverage allows access to health security and benefits such as retirement pensions. However, from time to time citizens may need to visit their institution’s branches for premium payments or other procedures. Knowing the office hours makes these visits and transactions much easier. Bağ-Kur’s working hours operate in the same way as other public institutions. If users want to complete their transactions quickly and easily, they should be aware of Bağ-Kur’s days and hours of operation.

What Are Bağ-Kur Working Hours?

Bağ-Kur working hours are set according to the relevant ministry’s guidelines. In general, the working hours and practices of all government offices are the same. These hours are arranged by the Council of Ministers based on the provisions set out in articles 99 and 100 of Law No. 657 and the directives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. According to this regulation, Bağ-Kur offices operate like all other government offices, with working hours from 08:00 to 17:00. These institutions also observe a lunch break, which is held between 12:00 and 13:00. Therefore, citizens who have business at Bağ-Kur need to visit during weekday working hours. As with all government offices, Bağ-Kur is closed on weekends. Services are provided only five weekdays a week during the stated office hours. Users who need to handle transactions at a branch should plan their visit according to these times. Bağ-Kur working hours are as stated above.
