E-Government Diploma Inquiry is a service available through the E-Government (e-Devlet) system that allows users to check diploma and graduation records online.

Employers routinely specify educational requirements and graduation level in job postings when recruiting staff.
Among the documents a new employee must prepare, a photocopy of the diploma and a graduation certificate are usually at the top of the list.
People who need to prepare these documents often spend time searching for a diploma they haven’t touched in years and sometimes cannot find it, which can delay delivering complete onboarding paperwork and cause embarrassment.
In the past, resolving this required obtaining a duplicate diploma from the school where one graduated.
Today, thanks to advances in technology and the internet, accessing a copy of your diploma is possible with just a few clicks.
Higher Education Graduation Certificate Inquiry
On the E-Government platform, the diploma-related service available is the Higher Education Graduation Certificate Inquiry. After logging into the e-Devlet site, type search terms such as “diploma” or “diploma inquiry” into the search box in the upper-right corner. Alternatively, you can click the link provided at the end of this article.
After clicking the search button, you will see a search results page similar to the image below.
From the search results, click the result labeled “Yükseköğretim Kurulu Başkanlığı / Yükseköğretim Mezun Belgesi Sorgulama” (Higher Education Council / Higher Education Graduation Certificate Inquiry). If you are not logged in, you will see a login prompt like the one shown below.
To perform the Higher Education Graduation Certificate Inquiry, click the “Verify My Identity Now” button and log in with your Turkish ID number (T.C. Kimlik Numarası) and your e-Devlet password. If you do not yet have an e-Devlet password, you can obtain one quickly from your nearest PTT branch for a small fee. After entering the required information, the graduation certificate inquiry will be processed immediately.
If you have not graduated from a university, the result will state “No graduation information found.” If you believe any information on this page is missing or incorrect, you can report the issue using the link at the end of this article.
The Higher Education Graduation Certificate Inquiry consists of two sections: Graduation Information and Graduation Certificate. If you enter the requested information correctly, the inquiry will complete successfully.

Can a Graduation Certificate Replace a Diploma?
People often confuse the graduation certificate and the diploma and wonder whether one can be used in place of the other.
An official document issued by an educational institution stating that an individual has completed a program or school and has earned a degree or title, or has achieved sufficient competence in a trade, art, or profession.
From this definition, it is clear that a diploma is also a form of graduation certificate. A diploma can serve as a graduation document, and conversely, a graduation certificate can be used in place of a diploma when appropriate.
