Details for applying to the Family Support Program have been clarified. In his recent statement, Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık announced that employees and retirees who meet the Family Support Program application requirements can also apply.
With this clarification, eligibility criteria for the program are now clear and public attention has turned to payment dates. What Is the Family Support Program?
The Family Support Program is a financial assistance package designed for households whose socioeconomic status falls below a determined threshold. Payments will be made over a 12-month period. Eligible households will receive annual support ranging from 10,200 TL to 15,000 TL, depending on their circumstances.
How Much Are the Family Support Program Payments?
Payments under the Family Support Program are disbursed monthly. Monthly support starts at 850 TL and can reach up to 1,250 TL for eligible households, paid for 12 months.

The program is expected to benefit around 4 million households in Turkey. Minister Derya Yanık explained the amounts and payment method, stating: “We expect about 4 million households to benefit from the Turkey Family Support Program annually. There are certain conditions based on household income. We will provide support of 850 TL or 1,250 TL monthly. The annual amount will range from 10,200 to 15,000 TL. This will be provided regularly for 12 months.”

What Are the Application Requirements for the Family Support Program?
Eligibility for the Family Support Program is determined by the per-person household income and several additional conditions. The main application requirements are as follows:
- Applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Turkey.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Applicants must reside in Turkey; applications from those whose registered residence is abroad are not accepted.
- Blue Card holders are not eligible to apply.
- Per-person net household income must be less than one-third of the minimum wage (2,835 TL).
- The applicant’s household must not include civil servants, public workers, village headmen, notaries, persons living abroad, those who have used foreign service crediting, or persons covered by special pension funds.
How to Apply to the Family Support Program
There are two accepted ways to apply for the Family Support Program. Applicants can submit their application in person at the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations (SYDV) operating in their district governor’s office. After submission, necessary checks will be made and eligible households will receive monthly payments between 850 TL and 1,250 TL according to the payment schedule.
Applications can also be made via e-Devlet. To apply online, you need your Turkish ID number and an e-Devlet password. Those without a password can obtain one from the nearest PTT branch for a small fee. Once you have your e-Devlet password, follow these steps to apply:
- Go to the e-Devlet portal at the official address.
- From the main page, enter the “Institutions” menu.

- Select the “Ministry of Family and Social Services” from the listed institutions.

- From the ministry services, choose “Social and Economic Support Preliminary Application.”

- To continue, you must verify your identity. Click the “Verify My Identity Now” button to be redirected to the e-Devlet login screen.
- On the login screen, enter your T.C. identity number and e-Devlet password, then click “Sign In.”
- After identity verification, start a new application by selecting the “New Application” option.

- On the first application step, scroll down, check the consent box highlighted on the page, and click “Continue.”

- In the second step, you will be asked to permit the investigation that will be conducted about your situation. Check the indicated consent box and click “Continue.”

In the remaining steps you must complete Identity and Contact Information, Application Details, Household Children, Application Preview, and Result stages. After completing these seven steps, your Family Support Program application will be submitted to the ministry.
Who Can Apply to the Family Support Program?
The program specifies who may apply. Housewives, adults aged 18 and over, and people who are not currently employed can apply if they meet the income and other eligibility conditions.
Minister Derya Yanık recently expanded the scope of eligible groups. She announced that, provided they meet the household income requirement (net minimum wage divided by three), employees and retirees may also apply. The newly included groups under the Family Support Program, subject to the income condition, are:
- Private-sector employees,
- Tradespeople, artisans, and other self-employed individuals,
- SSK retirees,
- Bağ-Kur retirees,
- Civil Service Pension Fund retirees,
- Surviving spouses and dependents of retirees.

- Click the “Verify My Identity Now” button.
- Log in with your T.C. identity number and e-Devlet password.
