Good news for retirees: the dates for the Eid al-Adha bonus payments have been announced. According to the latest information, the holiday bonuses paid to retired citizens will begin before the holiday, starting on July 17. The regular Eid bonuses for retirees are scheduled for the 2020 Eid al-Adha, with payments set to start on July 17, 2020. Retirees who received their increased July 2020 pensions will also receive their Eid bonuses on the announced dates. Family, Labour and Social Services Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk stated that the Eid bonuses will be paid between July 17 and July 29, 2020.

In the latest update regarding the Eid bonus payments for retirees, it has been clarified when these payments will be credited to accounts. Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk announced that approximately 12 million retirees will receive their Eid al-Adha bonuses between July 17 and July 29, 2020. In a written statement, the minister emphasized that bonuses will be deposited together with pension payments on scheduled dates so that retirees and beneficiaries do not have to visit banks on different days and face inconvenience.

When Will Eid Bonus Payments Be Made for SSK and Bağ-Kur Retirees?

According to the Family, Labour and Social Services Ministry, the increased July pensions and Eid al-Adha bonuses will be paid to SSK retirees between July 17 and July 26, 2020. Bağ-Kur retirees will receive their Eid bonuses along with their pensions between July 25 and July 28, 2020.

Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk also explained arrangements for those covered by the Civil Servants’ Pension Fund. Because some pension payments fall in August, July adjustments and the Eid bonuses will be paid together with August pensions where applicable. Minister Selçuk added her best wishes for retirees: she expressed gratitude to those who have contributed to the country’s development through their labor and production, and wished that the bonuses be beneficial and bring good fortune. She also extended early holiday wishes for retirees and their families.
