Minister: We Are Very Close to Falling Below One Thousand
Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced the latest figures via his Twitter account and noted that the decline in newly diagnosed cases has continued since June 25, 2020. We are very close to falling below 1,000 new cases, he said, but warned that decreases tend to be slow while sudden increases can occur. He emphasized that rises and falls in case numbers are linked to adherence to mask‑wearing, physical distancing, and hygiene rules. In his message sharing the updated figures, Minister Koca added that the upward trend in intensive care patient numbers is slowing, intubated patient numbers are showing a decline, and the number of recovered patients currently exceeds newly diagnosed cases.
