Important Announcement from the Ministry of National Education for Students Taking the LGS Exam! The Ministry of National Education has issued an important statement for students preparing to take the High School Entrance Exam (LGS). To support exam preparation, a May 2020 practice package containing 1,000 questions has been prepared and published. Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk reassured students, saying, “Don’t worry, we will be with you throughout this process.”

According to the ministry’s written statement, the monthly sample question booklet prepared for students studying for the centralized LGS exam has been published for May. Because schools are closed due to the coronavirus, these sample booklets have begun to be released twice a month. Minister Selçuk also noted that, during this period, an LGS Practice Questions support package covering the first-term curriculum and learning outcomes for 8th grade students has been developed and implemented.

LGS May Support Package Published!

The May LGS support package has been published. Students can access these practice questions through the Practice Questions Support Package on the Directorate General for Measurement, Evaluation and Exam Services section of the Ministry’s website.

Minister Selçuk emphasized that the ministry is providing step-by-step support so that students preparing for exams can continue toward their goals without being hindered by current circumstances. He reiterated that a total of 1,516 practice questions have been offered to students and teachers. He also acknowledged the significant efforts of staff from the Measurement and Evaluation General Directorate’s Question Preparation Department and the teachers and colleagues at Measurement and Evaluation Centers across all 81 provinces in producing these support packages.
