The government will provide a monthly support payment of €300 to working mothers who arrange paid childcare. The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services announced that mothers who wish to continue working and employ a caregiver for their child will receive a monthly allowance of €300.

Childcare Allowance Increased by €100 per Month
The Minister of Family, Labour and Social Services, Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, announced that caregiver support for mothers has been raised from €200 to €300 per month. To benefit from the program, mothers must be employed under social insurance and have children aged 0–24 months. Mothers working under the 4/A scheme can access this support without additional conditions.
Eligibility Requirements to Receive Caregiver Support
To qualify for the state-funded trained caregiver support, the child must be between 0 and 24 months old (up to 2 years).
Other requirements include:
- The mother must be employed under the 4/A social security category,
- The mother’s gross monthly earnings must not exceed twice the gross minimum wage,
- The caregiver cannot be a relative of the mother,
- The chosen caregiver must hold the necessary certificates and qualifications for childcare,
- The caregiver must be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.

When these conditions are met, mothers can benefit from trained caregiver support. Applications can be submitted through the Social Security Institution’s (SGK) website. Under this project, working mothers in all provinces can access the support from 2020 onward. Application timing is important: payments are calculated based on the months the child is within the eligible age range. For example, if an application is made in the 22nd month, payments will be provided for two months only. Support automatically ends when the child turns 25 months. Therefore, eligible mothers who arrange a caregiver as soon as their child is born and begin employment immediately will gain the greatest benefit.
How to Obtain a Childcare Certificate
Mothers who want to use the government-trained caregiver support must ensure the caregiver holds the required certificate. These certificates can be obtained through several training courses and providers.

First, log in to the e-Government portal (e-Devlet) with your e-Devlet credentials and apply for the “Project to Support Registered Female Employment through Incentives for Trained Childcare Providers.” During the application you will be directed to the “European Union Support Application” screen; complete the form presented and submit your application. After submitting the application, you can apply online to authorized training providers that issue the certificates and obtain the childcare certification through their online courses.
