Recently, people have found it increasingly difficult to find time for official transactions due to their busy daily lives. In the past, bank transactions often meant taking a ticket and waiting for hours in long lines, limited to branch working hours. This caused significant loss of time and required planning around office hours. Thanks to rapid technological advances—especially in the service sector—many transactions that once took hours can now be completed in minutes or with just a few clicks. The banking sector has benefited greatly from these developments, offering customers services at their doorstep or via digital channels. Today, you can perform virtually any bank transaction online or at nearby ATMs 24/7 without waiting in long queues, and banks typically do not charge for these basic services.
PTT, one of Turkey’s most important public institutions, also provides these convenient services. PTTBank has developed a simple and practical system that meets people’s daily needs securely and quickly. Whether you need to transfer money, make EFTs, carry out foreign exchange transactions, or pay bills, PTTBank enables you to complete these operations online from home or at ATMs located throughout the country.
What is the PTT Card?
The PTT Card is issued by PTTBank for customers who hold an account with the bank. With this card, you can perform many transactions quickly and easily. To obtain a PTT Card, you must first have a postal checking account (posta çeki hesabı). To open such an account, visit the nearest PTT branch in your city and apply in person.
Who Can Open a Postal Checking Account?
Turkish citizens who are 18 or older, those declared legally adult by a court decision, or those who became of age through marriage, as well as foreign individuals and legal entities, can apply to PTTBank branches or PTT centers to benefit from PTT Card services. Both natural and legal persons may open one or more accounts. To open a postal checking account, applicants are required to pay a security deposit of 5.00 TL, known as the “Güven Akçesi,” which remains in the account. When you close the account, this security deposit will be refunded to you.
What Transactions Can Be Done with a PTT Card?
One of the most frequently used services at PTTBank is the PTT Card. You can view all information and details related to your PTT Card in chronological order—from recent to older transactions. From account movements to account details, you can manage all PTT Card operations quickly and efficiently. By using PTT Card services, you can avoid wasting time and perform your transactions in a practical way. You can carry out PTT Card transactions either at a nearby PTT ATM or via PTTBank’s online services. There are no fees charged for performing PTT Card operations online.
How to Perform Card Transactions Over the Internet?
First, you must activate Internet Banking for your PTTBank account. You can get support for this from customer service. After activation, use any smartphone or computer with an internet connection. Visit PTT’s official website and click on the online services link located at the top right of the page. From the options shown, select Internet Banking. A login section will appear—carefully enter the requested information into the appropriate fields and press the login button. Once logged in, choose the desired PTT Card transaction and complete your operation. For faster and more convenient access to PTT Card functions, download the PTTBank mobile application to your phone. The app simplifies access and speeds up the execution of card transactions.
