University Hiring 199 Contracted Staff (Minimum High School Diploma)

Mersin University has announced a personnel recruitment notice. The university will hire contracted staff and healthcare personnel in various positions, with candidates required to have at least a high school diploma. The recruitments will be carried out under Article 4/B of the Civil Servants Law No. 657 to fill staffing needs across Mersin University.

Positions will be filled for the University’s Health Research and Practice Hospital Directorate and for campuses located in Mersin city center and surrounding districts. You can find details about eligibility, quota distribution and application procedures below.

When Can You Apply?

Applications for contracted positions at Mersin University began upon publication of the announcement and will be accepted for a period of 15 days. Candidates who wish to apply must submit their applications in person; applications submitted after the 15-day deadline will not be accepted. Application dates are from March 2 to March 16, 2023. Candidates who complete the online portion of their application must submit their original application documents in person to the Rectorate Personnel Department by the end of the announcement period.

Mersin University Personnel Quota Distribution

For high school graduates, the university will recruit 8 Security and Protection Officers, 80 Support Personnel, 3 Drivers, 10 Maintenance and Repair staff, 2 Gardeners, and 19 Patient Care and Cleaning staff. For associate degree (Ön Lisans) holders, positions include 1 Security and Protection Officer, 3 Cooks, 1 Gardener, 1 Patient Care and Cleaning staff, 3 Technicians, 15 Health Technicians, 1 Radiography Technician, and 28 Health Technicians. For bachelor’s degree holders, vacancies are for 1 Security and Protection Officer, 1 Engineer, 9 Office Personnel, and 13 Nurses.

What Are the Application Requirements?

Applicants must meet the conditions set out in Article 48 of the Civil Servants Law No. 657. These requirements include:

  • Being a citizen of the Republic of Turkey
  • Not being deprived of public rights
  • Having no health condition that would prevent the performance of duties
  • For male candidates, having completed military service or having no ongoing military obligation
  • Having no criminal conviction that disqualifies candidacy
  • Not receiving an old-age or retirement pension from any social security institution
  • Being able to work in shift (on-call) systems where required

In addition to these requirements, candidates must meet the KPSS score condition. Applicants should have achieved at least 50 points in the 2022 KPSS: P94 for high school graduates, P93 for associate degree graduates, and P3 for bachelor’s degree graduates.
